Protecting your identity and account information is a top priority at CEFCU. When fraud is suspected on your CEFCU Debit or Credit Mastercard®, you automatically receive automated fraud alerts via email in near real-time. This is a free service to help protect your identity if a Card is compromised.
But did you know you can also set up automated fraud text alerts for your Cards? Simply log into CEFCU On-Line® or Mobile Banking. Under Card Management, select your Card, then select the “Automated Fraud Alerts” tile, and follow the onscreen prompts to begin receiving them automatically via this option.footnote 1
Automated fraud alerts will help you detect fraud right away, so you can take action immediately.
With a text alert, you can immediately respond to suspected fraud by:
- Validating if a transaction(s) is legitimate;
- Replying if you don’t recognize a transaction(s); then a protective hold will be placed on your Card until you call the Fraud Detection number provided to you.
