Business Checking Types

Basic Business

Choose if you have a small business without a lot of transactions. If you keep a $2,500 average daily balance, there’s no monthly service fee.

There’s no monthly charge for:

  • First 30 checks written
  • First 20 bagged deposits
  • First 50 deposited items

Look into Business Dividend Checking to maximize your dividend income. Dividends are paid on a tiered rate system, and there’s no monthly fee with a $2,500 average daily balance. There are no fees for the first 30 checks written, first 20 bagged deposits, and first 50 deposited items.

Select Business Checking if you have a medium to large business and maintain higher checking balances. There’s a $10 monthly maintenance fee; however, Sweep Services are available for this account.

Sweep Services

You can earn dividends! Any amount above a target balance in your Business Checking automatically moves to an Insured Money Market Account (IMMA).

The great things about Sweep Services? You can:

  • Access funds quick and easy.
  • Earn great rates on excess operating cash.
  • Avoid brokerage fees with this automated cash management.
  • Have money transferred from the IMMA to cover checks.

*Based on 2015 information, top 10 U.S. biggest banks Wells-Fargo and PNC have fewer than 22,000 ATMs combined.

**Minimum balance requirement to open or convert to Dividend Checking is $2,500. A Dividend Checking Account will be charged a $6.00 fee for each statement period that the average daily account balance drops below the minimum $2,500 level. Dividends are paid on a tiered-rate system: balances from $2,500 to $4,999; $5,000 to $9,999; and $10,000 or higher. If a Dividend Checking account is closed or converted to a non-dividend Checking account, dividends earned in the current statement period at that time are forfeited. Contact CEFCU for full details. Dividend Checking accounts accrue dividends on a daily basis. Dividends post monthly based on the Checking cycle. To earn dividends and avoid the fee, members must maintain an average daily balance (throughout the entire statement cycle) of at least $2,500.
