CEFCU is a credit union and those that do business with CEFCU are the Credit Union’s member/owners. To be a member, you must have a $5 share in a Savings account. CEFCU funded this $5 account for all new members coming from Simmons Bank. The $5 opening deposit does not count as an HSA Contribution.
Yes, customers of Simmons Bank who currently have an HSA debit card will automatically receive a new CEFCU Debit Card.
Your fixed daily purchase limit is up to $5,000 from your HSA Checking account and your fixed daily ATM withdrawal limit is up to $1,000.
A limited function card allows withdrawals and transfers of funds within the HSA, as well as balance inquiries at CEFCU Money Center 24® ATMs, Co-Op™ ATMs, and select Cirrus®/Matercard® Network/PULSE® ATMs. Deposits at ATMs are not allowed due to the annual contribution limit on HSA accounts set by the IRS.
Due to the IRS placing annual contribution limits on HSA accounts, deposits at ATMs are not allowed.
There are a variety of products that can be opened along with your HSA – including, a Savings, My Use Account, Insured Money Market Account, Certificates (minimum opening balance is $1,000), Dividend Checking (a minimum balance of $2,500 is required to avoid a fee), and more.
You will not be accessed any fees on your HSA if you maintain an average daily balance of $2,500 or more. If you fall below this average balance, you will be accessed a $25 annual fee. For Simmons Bank customers, this $25 annual fee will be waived for the first year, regardless of your account balance. For a complete list of all applicable fees, please contact us at 1.800.633.7077.
The Authorized Signer you had on your HSA at Simmons Bank will continue to be authorized to perform Debit Card transactions, write checks, and perform other transactions on your HSA at CEFCU. The only transactions that an Authorized Signer cannot do is add and close accounts on your HSA at CEFCU.
A free pack of HSA checks were sent to the primary member, with only the primary member’s name printed on the checks. If you would like to order checks for the Authorized Signer, or add the Authorized Signer’s name to the checks, please visit a local Member Center or call the Member Contact Center at 1.800.633.7077.
